Preschool & PreK

Preschool and pre-K are the founding blocks to a Bright Start in a child's education! Not only do children learn academics, they grow socially and in confidence! Kids develop a love of learning through engaging lessons, exploration and creativity. Kids develop socially through interactions with peers, life experiences and understanding themselves. Kids grow in confidence as they gain responsibility and are able to identify their capabilities (their awesomeness)!

Fun learning in the summer with books, art and activities! Themed classes are offered. Summer childcare is offered as well- they participate in the classes as part of the fee.

Dance & Tumbling

Learn and grow as a dancer and tumbler right after (or before) your preschool classes. You are not required to be in preschool to participate in dance and tumbling classes.

Tumble & Talk

Currently not offered. This class is designed differently than regular preschools because it is just 1.5 hours a week. This is a great class if you are wanting your child to get socializing skills and developmental skills while also learning through natural exposure! This is great for parents to have a mini break to get some errands done or do something for them.

These extra classes provide fun activities for children! Some classes will have learning components while some are just for entertainment! Sign up for year class, monthly classes or single classes!

Private Kindergarten

Currently not offered. Continue your Bright Start foundation in learning to read and write! Become a better mathematician, scientist and artist! This class is offered 2024-2025 school year.

What type of payment does Bright Start take?

You can pay for any and all classes via Venmo at Jessica-sheffield-5. You can also pay PayPal at youcancallmejess4@gmail.com. Cash is always welcome as well.

What ages are the classes?

Preschool content lessons and activities are designed for children 3-4 years old and is typically 2 days a week about 2 hours each. Pre-K content and lessons are designed for children 4-5 years old typically 2-3 days a week and a longer class time. HOWEVER, I am an expert in differentiating and will accommodate their age of development regardless of their class! 🥰

Can my child attend class all week?

Yes, being preschool and pre-K classes are only 2 to 3 days a week, families are welcome to enroll in both classes and attend all week! You do not need to fill out the registration twice for both classes, just once and then email brightstartpreschool3@gmail.com desire to register for both!

Does your program have a end of your preschool program?

Yes, we will have an end of year preschool program as well as a December preschool program! The Christmas program will be combined with our dance and tumblers performance! Are end of the year preschool program will be a separate program!

What kind of tutoring is offered?

Bright Start tutoring offers tutoring for ages 3-12 years old. Primary tutoring content is reading and math, but writing and speech are also offered. Other content may be as well, but confirm with director at brightstartpreschool3@gmail.com

What is involved in tutoring?

All tutoring starts with 4 prepaid 1/2 hour sessions. This ensures commitment after planning and prep time has been put into your child's tutoring. Supply fee is $15 and covers the take and keep resources Bright Start offers for your child's individual needs. This fee is applied again after 6 months of tutoring for new resources for their new skills. Replacements of tutoring supplies within 6 months is $10.

Dance and tumbling classes are offered too?

Dance and tumbling classes are separate classes! If your child is in preschool, then the kids come before or after preschool for their class. If your child is not in preschool, they can still join a dance or tumbling class and just come during their class time.

What performances are there?

We will be doing a Christmas performance at Festival of Trees, an elderly home and maybe another for public. At the end of the year we will have a tumbling showcase as well as a dance performance!

What are fun classes? How often are they?

These classes offer learning and creative opportunities throughout the year! But some are just for fun!! Some classes are one time while others are done in clusters! Check the monthly calendars and then sign up!

Are fun classes only offered in summer?

Kids fun classes are offered all year round, but more options are in the summer!

How strict are ahead listed on summer classes?

Ages are planned out based off of the activities being done in the class! However if you have a younger or older sibling that would like to join the class please reach out to the Director at brightstartpreschool3@gmail.com to get approval. It's more doable when they have a sibling!

Is there a sibling discount for classes?

Yes there is a discount offered for these classes! Class prices are determined by considering hourly babysitting fee, planning/prep/clean up time, and supplies. Depending on the amount of work put into the class will depend a discount for siblings! The director tries her very best to accommodate families. Discount should be listed with the class information but if they are not please email brightstartpreschool3@gmail.com
